FAQs

Glass commission

  • Once you enquire, we will arrange a briefing chat or call to discuss wording, size, tone and overall feel.

Following this, you will receive a digital mock-up of your artwork to review and approve. This is your opportunity to check layout, spelling and overall composition before anything is created on glass.

Production will only begin once you have approved the mock-up.

Please note that the mock-up is a visual guide.

  • We are currently working to a waitlist. Once your space is confirmed, you will receive an approximate delivery date.

Because each piece is made entirely by hand, timelines can occasionally shift. Glass, gold leaf and life itself do not always behave perfectly to schedule.

If you need your piece for a specific date, please get in touch as early as possible and we will always do our best to accommodate you.

  • You are purchasing a handcrafted, original artwork made by Sarah.

Every piece is created by hand using glass and gold leaf. No two are ever identical. While Sarah has spent years refining her technique, slight variations, tiny imperfections and subtle inconsistencies are part of the process. Evidence of a human being making something slowly and carefully.

Contrary to popular belief, Sarah is not a robot.

  • Each commission is bespoke. Layout, spacing and the character of the gold leaf can vary slightly from piece to piece.

The overall design and wording will be agreed with you in advance, but natural variation is part of what makes your artwork unique.

  • UK orders are shipped using next day delivery or door-to-door courier once completed.

International orders are sent using the fastest and most secure shipping option available at the time.

Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the purchase price.

  • Your piece will be carefully wrapped and boxed using protective materials designed specifically for fragile artwork. We take packaging very seriously.

In the unlikely event your piece arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs of both the packaging and the artwork so we can resolve it quickly.

  • Because each piece is made to order, cancellations or design changes may not be possible once work has begun.

If you need to amend something, please contact us as soon as possible and we will always try to help.

  • As all commissions are bespoke and created specifically for you, we do not offer refunds.

  • All designs remain the intellectual property of Sarah.

This includes bespoke wording, layouts and original compositions. Designs may not be reproduced, copied or used commercially without written permission.

By purchasing a commission, you are buying the physical artwork, not the rights to reproduce the design.

  • We may photograph / video pieces for portfolio, website or social media use.

If your commission contains sensitive or private wording and you would prefer it not to be shared, please let us know in advance.

  • Glass is a fragile material. While your artwork is carefully constructed and framed, it should be handled with care and kept out of reach of small children.

We are not responsible for damage caused after delivery due to improper handling, installation or accidental impact.

  • These pieces are slow, considered and made with care. They are not factory products. They will not be identical to something machine printed. That is the point.

If you are looking for something flawless in a mass-produced way, this probably is not it.

If you are looking for something personal, slightly unpredictable and beautifully human, you are in the right place.
